It’s been a busy couple of weeks with the Top Club, Yetton Trophy, Denny Plate, Egham and Over 60 Double Rink taking place.
To start us off was the Mixed Top Club on Sunday 26th October, where our ‘A’ team travelled away to City of Ely. Some tight battles took place across the rinks, but St Neots eventually got the better, taking away a 10-6 win.
Saturday 1st November saw the first round of the Yetton Trophy and Denny Plate, with both teams facing Peterborough. Following a tough Cup loss to Huntingdon the previous week, the men were looking for a repeat of their good run in the Plate competition last year. However, it wasn’t to be suffering a narrow defeat after an incredible late comeback.
The women had a fantastic start to their campaign with a brilliant 103-47 victory.
On Sunday, it was a nail-bitter once again against City of Ely in the first round of the Egham. Coming down to the last end, St Neots just edged out Ely with a 77-73 victory. A brilliant effort from everyone involved.
Tuesday our Over 60 Double Rink team took on Peterborough. It was a good battle throughout at both venues, but Peterborough eventually got the better, taking a 35-25 win and progressing through to the next round.
Coming up we face local rivals Huntingdon in the next rounds of 4 competitions –
Saturday 8th November – U30 Double Rink
Sunday 9th November – Mixed Top Club
Saturday 15th November – Yetton Trophy
Sunday 16th November – Egham Trophy
